Biography
Dr. Elena Gonzalez-Burgos received her PhD in Pharmacy from the University Complutense of Madrid and she won the Doctorate Extraordinary Award. Following, she worked for three years in the Spanish Agency of Medicines and Medical Devices (AEMPS). Actually, Dr. Gonzalez-Burgos is assistant professor of Pharmacology and Pharmacognosy at University Complutense of Madrid. She is author of 30 peer review articles, most of them of the highest quality. She also serves as reviewer of many peer reviewed journals including Molecules, Biomedicine & Pharmacotherapy, Journal of Agricultural Science, Phytomedicine, Natural Product Research, Evidence-Based Complementary and Alternative Medicine, Lazaroa, Pharmaceutical Biology and Journal of Natural Products. She has done several teaching and research stages (England, Portugal and Lithuania).
Research Interest
Dr. Elena Gonzalez-Burgos research interest focus on the pharmacology of natural products, and particularly, on the study of the neuroprotective activities of compounds found in vegetal species, based on their antioxidant ability.
